The YoCam, billed as the world’s smallest waterproof “life” camera, successfully raised $839,145 on Kickstarter with a goal of $80,000. It is now available to purchase on Indiegogo.
The YoCam is a go-anywhere camera that can capture videos and photos with the press of a button. The YoCam can function as a mountable action camera, baby monitor, an underwater camera, dash cam, and a selfie camera.
The YoCam measures 3.3 x 1.2 x 0.8 inches, weighs just 2 ounces, has an IP68 waterproof rating that can withstand depths up to 20 feet, and has technical features that surpass its closest rival the GoPro Hero4 Session. Some key features include a max video resolutions of 2.7K (2.7K/30 fps, 1080p/60fps, 720p/30fps), F2.0 aperture, 140-degree wide angle lens, 2 micron pixel size, image/video HDR and stabilization, P2P remote connection to use as a security or baby camera, story generation, and one-click photobook print.
The YoCam is available for $169 which also includes a USB cable, clip mount, and lanyard, and is also available in $219 and $269 packages with more accessories. Accessories can also be added individually.
